I messed some config in my gateway and I could no longer SSH into the device. The config is not important, it would be eaiser for me start over.
I checked the documentation, pressed the button for a long time until the status light started flashing green, and after some point it starting booting again.
Now the blue light keeps breathing and I cannot see the device on my local network. If I remember correctly the default config was DHCP, so it should have received an IP from my router.
Which button did you press? It needs to be button labeled “Power” in order for it to go back to its factory settings.
If you still do not see it on your network, I recommend downloading something like Angry IP Scanner where you can ping every device on your network and see where it might pop up. It will be listed as “debian” if you use Angry IP Scanner.
As per the documentation, I pressed the “Customized button” (with the power symbol) for 10 seconds. The lights flashed green for a few seconds, and it was red again for a few seconds and it started blue. And not it is a very slow breathing blue light.
I am using Advanced IP Scanner, and scanning the entire 192.168.1.1-254 subnet.
I tried, but does not help. The status LED turns red, and eventually it goes back to breathing blue.
I double checked the cable, I can see the port of the switch is active, but still nothing shows in in Advanced IP Scanner.
Any other ideas?
